108 ski properties with New Build for sale in France

New build (VEFA — Vente en l'état futur d'achèvement) property in France offers a fundamentally different purchase experience from the renovation and restoration projects that dominate the rural market. Under French law, VEFA purchases are protected by a comprehensive framework of legally mandated guarantees: the garantie de parfait achèvement (one year, covering all defects notified at handover), the garantie biennale (two years, covering equipment and fittings) and the all-important garantie décennale (ten years, covering structural defects). For buyers who want the authenticity of France without the unpredictability of restoration, a well-specified new build — particularly in an established resort area — can combine modern standards with French character. In the ski market, high-altitude Savoie resorts — Val Thorens, Les Menuires, Arc 1950 — attract strong interest from investors, underpinned by reliable snow and long seasons. Tax and investment structuring for French property purchases varies by individual circumstance and should always be discussed with a qualified French fiscal adviser.
